All in all there was about 400 people. So it wasn't too big of an event.

HALCALI

For me, the main event; the whole reason I came.
I was in the very front row and little bit to stage right, mostly centered.

Stage hands came on and started adjusting the set while DJ NOZICO was blasting her electro-jazz on the right side of the room. DJ KiMJUN came onstage to adjust his turntables with the stage hands and my heart dropped. It had been so long since I last saw him. I took pictures and such. ↓↓↓ Then, as he was adjusting his stuff, I called out his name and got THIS PICTURE:



It got a little blurry because when it made eye contact with me I got a little fanboy-ish and didn't hold the camera very straight. Aaaanyway, if you can't tell, his expression is: *(＾▽＾)*
I thought he was just happy or something, but actually HE RECOGNIZED ME FROM OVER 5 MONTHS AGO IN CHICAGO ♥. More on that later.
DJ KiMJUN finished getting everything perfect and went backstage- we were all still jamming to DJ NOZICO.

So 18:40 rolled around, and DJ KiMJUN came back out. A minute later DJ NOZICO's music lowered and DJ KiMJUN rolled out the intro and pumped up the crowd by walking around the stage clapping his hands and stopping in the areas where people weren't jumping and encouraging them to. xD
THEN HALCA AND YUCALI CAME OUT♥♥♥.
They immediately went into new song, which I absolutely loved! Like, I can't even describe this track. They were rapping SOOO much and the chorus was great and the part ?after? the chorus was even better! The lyrics were really tough to understand with so much happening at the same time, but at one point they were rapping the days of the week. lol. I wonder if it could be "FLASH", the b-side to the upcoming "Long Kiss Good Bye" single. But it seems a bit odd to reveal both songs for a single, kind of? Also, they didn't say the words "FLASH" that I remember. Anyway, it was an amazing track that I'm totally looking forward to. I thought, "I should've take video footage!" Sorry. It's new camera, not used to it, yet. So their next live I go to, I'll remember to. :D
Since I was a little to stage right, I was closer to HALCA, most of the time, and I got TONS of attention from her♥. We interacted a lot- she held the mic out to me during the audience participation parts, and I gave her heart hand signs. At one point between songs, she was looking at my HALCALI shirt that I was wearing. lol. I wonder if she recognized me...?

Afterward, they played 二福星, a really great track that I was hoping to hear. We all put up our "Peace Sign" and jumped during the chorus.
After the song, they talked a bit while DJ KiMJUN was playing some "Paper Planes" which HALCA thoroughly enjoyed whilst YUCALI explained about their new single, and what not. At one point HALCA was kind of spacing out and throwing some furious rock-fists. HALCA then mentioned a couple of people being enthusiastic fans for HALCALI, in which I jumped up proudly and 'flicked' my shirt. YUCALI was like "OH!" :D
So, they performed "Long Kiss Good Bye", and I swear to God, it's even better in concert, I can't wait for this new single. HALCA looked at me and saw I was singing the lyrics during the chorus, and a big smile went across her face. I guess she was surprised because it is their new song and it'd be like "WTF KNOWS THE LYRICS?(▼□▼ﾒ)" But I listened to that live ver. so many times. x_x
So next was ギリギリ・サーフライダー, and I thought, "Ah, they're ending with a strong number." BUT NO, two more songs! Yusssss. YUCALI did a quick description of doing the 'Summer Time, Baby! How High?!' thing. It was just as great as I remembered. ♥
Then HALCA yelled "PARTY PEOPOOOOOO!" and I was like "YESS!" because 若草DANCE was up, and even though it's not too strong of a track on it's own, it's perfect for lives. During this song DJ KiMJUN was looking at me a lot- more on that later!!
Then they ended with what I originally anticipated, 春狩道～19の夜～. Everybody was jumping crazy at the end. I forgot to mention how into it the crowd was, I looked back to see from time to time. DJ KiMJUN, again, more smiles at me. And this time HALCA did crazy love hand things to me when I threw her another heart.
At the end, they thanked everyone while DJ KiMJUN spun something, and the three of them walked about doing a Hulk Hogan kind of pose while spinning one arm. They were greaaat.

Their whole performance was filled with tons of fun dancing improvisations and acting like dorks. Their personalities came off really well, which seems to be the case in these smaller lives.

After they left stage, I turned and talked with the guy next to me who was also going crazy during HALCALI's set (at one point, the protective bar separating the crowd and stage came loose because of the two of us XD). Then, someone tapped me on my shoulder, from over the bar. IT WAS DJ KiMJUN! We exchanged a gansta handshake (I pulled it of perfectly。 (★Д★；) HOW?). He came up to me (and only me :o) just to say that he remembered me! I told him I'd see him soon and thanked him. I was ecstatic... I love that KiMJUN♥. I'm sure he and HALCALI were talking about how I came from Chicago. I'm sure of it. (ﾟ∇^*) Look at me being full of myself! (♥me)
But seriously, they traveled to Chicago, New York, France a couple of times and how many lives in Japan? And he remembers ME? It's funny because I didn't really talk with him too much back in Chicago, just a photo, a couple of compliments and that's it. I do remember him looking at me a lot during the Chicago concerts, though. And maybe I stood out to him back then as one of the fans that could speak to him in Japanese...

And here are some terrible picspam of them, because I couldn't hold my camera still, and HALCALI wouldn't stop moving. But better than nothing, right? PS, I'll be taking more pictures at the upcoming live and also VIDEO which will have SOUND of the new song.

















This was supposed to be a way longer entry, but I'm lazy and busy, which equals when I have free time I get nothing done. Not even journaling.
